Cancellation & Refunds
This page explains how cancellation and refunds work on Spinshare. It applies to consumers in the European Union and complements our Terms of Service. Mandatory consumer-protection rights remain unaffected.
1. Spinshare Pro subscription
Spinshare Pro is a recurring subscription billed by Stripe on the interval you selected at checkout (monthly unless stated otherwise). You can cancel at any time from Dashboard → Subscription. When you cancel:
- Your Pro features stay active until the end of the current billing period.
- You will not be charged again.
- Your account automatically reverts to the Free plan at the end of the billing period.
2. Right of withdrawal for digital services
Under EU consumer law, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal when you sign up for a paid service (§§ 312g, 355 BGB). For digital services and digital content delivered immediately, the right of withdrawal can expire early if you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal as soon as performance begins (§ 356 (5) BGB).
When you start a Spinshare Pro subscription or unlock a paid drop, you are asked to confirm immediate performance and the loss of the 14-day withdrawal right. If you have not yet started using the paid features, you may withdraw within 14 days by emailing support@spinshare.prowith the subject line “Withdrawal”.
TODO: add an explicit immediate-performance acknowledgement at checkout (Pro upgrades and paid drop unlocks) and a model withdrawal letter.
3. Subscriptions to producer pages
When you subscribe to a producer’s page, you are paying that producer for ongoing access to the drops they release. Subscriptions are recurring and renew automatically until cancelled. To cancel a producer subscription, open My Subscriptions and use the cancel control. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
4. Refund eligibility
Because drops and Pro features are digital services delivered immediately on payment, they are not generally refundable once performance has started. We may grant refunds on a discretionary basis in cases of:
- Demonstrable technical error preventing access.
- Duplicate or accidental charges.
- Confirmed fraud, unauthorised use of your payment method, or account takeover.
- Other cases where mandatory consumer-protection law requires a refund.
To request a review, email support@spinshare.pro within 30 days of the charge with your account email and the relevant transaction details.
5. Producer payouts and chargebacks
Producer earnings are paid out via Stripe Connect on the schedule and currency Stripe supports. If a subscriber payment is refunded or charged back, the corresponding earnings entry in the producer’s dashboard is reversed. Producers are responsible for any negative balance resulting from chargebacks on their payouts.
6. Effect of account deletion
Deleting your account cancels all of your active subscriptions on the next billing date. Already-paid periods are not refunded automatically; you can request a discretionary refund as described above.
