Cancellation & Refunds

This page explains how cancellation and refunds work on Spinshare. It applies to all Spinshare customers worldwide and complements our Terms of Service. The non-refund rules in Section 3 apply globally. Section 4 describes additional mandatory rights for consumers in the European Union. Customers outside the European Union keep any consumer-protection rights provided by the mandatory law of their habitual residence; those rights are preserved where local law applies them automatically.

1. Spinshare Pro subscription

Spinshare Pro is a recurring subscription billed by Stripe on the interval you selected at checkout (monthly unless stated otherwise). You can cancel at any time from Dashboard → Subscription. When you cancel:

  • Your Pro features stay active until the end of the current billing period.
  • You will not be charged again.
  • Your account automatically reverts to the Free plan at the end of the billing period.

2. Subscriptions to producer pages

When you subscribe to a producer’s page, you are paying that producer for ongoing access to the drops they release. Producer subscriptions are recurring and renew automatically until cancelled. To cancel a producer subscription, open My Subscriptions and use the cancel control. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

3. Subscriptions are non-refundable

Spinshare Pro subscriptions and producer-page subscriptions are non-refundable. Once a subscription period has been paid for, that period is not refundable in whole or in part. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals only; it does not refund the current billing period, and there is no partial refund for unused time inside a period.

This rule exists to protect producers. Drops on Spinshare are digital files that subscribers can download immediately on access; allowing post-payment refunds for subscriptions would let a subscriber pay, download a producer’s drops, and then claw back the payment, costing the producer both the revenue and the access to their work. By subscribing you accept this trade-off.

This section is without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights described in Section 4 and to the discretionary refunds described in Section 6.

4. Right of withdrawal for EU consumers

This section applies only to consumers resident in the European Union. Customers outside the EU should also read Section 3; nothing in this Section 4 grants withdrawal rights to non-EU customers, but any rights granted by the mandatory law of a non-EU customer’s habitual residence are preserved.

Under EU consumer law, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal when you sign up for a paid service (§§ 312g, 355 BGB). For digital services and digital content delivered immediately, that right can expire early under § 356 (5) BGB if you (i) expressly request immediate performance and (ii) acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal as soon as performance begins.

When you click Subscribe on a Spinshare Pro or producer-page checkout, you expressly request immediate performance of the subscription and acknowledge that your 14-day right of withdrawal expires the moment the subscription becomes active. Subscriptions are therefore non-refundable as described in Section 3 from the start of the first billing period.

If you have not yet started using any paid feature or accessed any subscriber-only drop and you wish to withdraw within 14 days under your residual statutory right, email support@spinshare.pro with the subject line “Withdrawal” and your account email. We will assess the request against the conditions in § 356 (5) BGB.

5. One-time drop unlocks

One-time paid drop unlocks (single-drop purchases that aren’t part of a subscription) are also delivered immediately on payment. By clicking Unlock you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge loss of the 14-day right of withdrawal at the moment of unlock, on the same basis described in Section 4. One-time unlocks are non-refundable once access has been granted, subject only to Section 6.

6. Discretionary refunds

We may grant refunds outside of the rules in Sections 3 and 5 on a discretionary basis in narrowly limited cases:

  • A demonstrable technical error on Spinshare’s side that prevented you from accessing the paid service or content you were charged for.
  • Duplicate or accidental charges originating from Spinshare’s billing flow.
  • Confirmed fraud, unauthorised use of your payment method, or account takeover.
  • Any case where mandatory consumer-protection law requires a refund.

To request a review, email support@spinshare.pro within 30 days of the charge with your account email, the relevant transaction details, and a brief description of the issue.

7. Producer payouts and chargebacks

Producer earnings are paid out via Stripe Connect on the schedule and currency Stripe supports. If a subscriber payment is reversed by Stripe (for example by a card-issuer chargeback or a refund granted under Section 6), the corresponding earnings entry in the producer’s dashboard is reversed. Producers are responsible for any negative balance resulting from chargebacks on their payouts.

8. Effect of account deletion

Deleting your account cancels all of your active subscriptions at the next billing date. Already-paid subscription periods are not refunded by deletion; the rules in Section 3 still apply. You may request a discretionary refund as described in Section 6 if any of those conditions are met.
